How on-site mixing works
Share your estimated yardage and required mix before delivery. At the site, the operator combines materials through the volumetric mixer and coordinates discharge with your placement crew. Available volume, discharge rate and access must be confirmed for each job.
When volumetric delivery is useful
Consider on-site mixing for smaller slabs, repairs, phased placements and projects where measured volume may vary. A larger continuous pour may need a specific delivery plan. Tell us whether a pump, testing agency or multiple placements are involved.
Volumetric and ready-mix: what to compare
Volumetric concrete is mixed at the site; drum-delivered ready-mix is typically batched before arrival. Compare the approved mix, total delivered cost, available quantity, scheduling and placement requirements. The right choice depends on the project, not simply the truck type.
Confirm before the pour
Ask for written confirmation of mix specifications, delivery charges, quantity measurement, unloading time and any project-specific documentation. Do not assume that a general product description establishes approval for a particular job.

Can I change the mix during delivery?
Discuss any mix changes with dispatch before the pour. Changes must stay within the agreed specification and the project's approval requirements.
Is placement included?
Request confirmation of the delivery scope. Concrete supply, pumping, finishing and site preparation are separate items unless your quote expressly includes them.
